Which plan is right for you?

Every plan reads the same public YouTube data with the same outperformer maths. What changes between them is how many channels you can watch and which research tools you can open. The cards above always list exactly what each plan includes today.

Free

Up to 5 tracked channels

For finding out whether outlier research changes the way you pick videos. You get outperformer discovery and a starter allowance of tracked channels, which is enough to watch a small competitor set and see which of their uploads genuinely beat their own baseline. No card, no countdown - if it covers what you need, it keeps working.

Beginner

Up to 25 tracked channels

The research toolkit, and the plan the product is designed around. It raises the tracked-channel limit to something that covers a real competitor set and opens the tools that turn watching into researching: side-by-side compare, thumbnail search, the niche explorer and upload alerts. The right fit if you publish regularly and want to know what is working in your niche before you script.

Expert

Unlimited tracked channels

For people running several channels at once - agencies, channel managers and creators with a portfolio. The tracked-channel limit comes off, so a client roster does not have to be pruned to fit, and the niche explorer's daily search allowance is higher. If you are managing other people's channels rather than only your own, the channel limit is usually the reason to be on this plan.

What every plan includes

Paying more does not buy better numbers. Every plan, the free one included, is built on the same public YouTube data and the same outperformer calculation, where each video is measured against its own channel's recent baseline rather than against YouTube as a whole. What a paid plan buys is scale and reach: more channels on your tracked list, and access to the research tools that turn watching into researching.

Nothing on any plan requires you to connect your own YouTube channel or grant access to it. That is the point of the product - it is built to look outward, at channels you do not own, which is exactly the data YouTube Studio cannot give you. Channel statistics pages stay free to browse for everybody, with or without an account, so you can see what the data looks like before you decide anything.

The free plan is not a trial. There is no countdown on it and no card to enter, so if it covers what you need it keeps working indefinitely. Most people move up at the point where they want more channels on the list or want to be told the moment a competitor publishes. See the full feature breakdown for what each tool actually does.

How billing, upgrades and cancellation work

Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance for the period you pick. Longer periods cost less per month than paying monthly, and the saving is shown on each plan card when you switch periods above, so you can see what the commitment is worth before choosing it. Prices are in US dollars.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current rate until you cancel, and we give advance notice before any price change takes effect. Upgrading applies straight away rather than at the next renewal, so you do not have to wait out the period you already paid for to get the bigger plan.

You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access to the paid features until then; we do not provide partial-period refunds except where required by law. Checkout and billing are handled by a third-party payment provider, and we do not store full payment card details on our servers. The terms of service and privacy policy set all of this out in full.

Pricing FAQ

Is the free plan really free?

Yes. It costs nothing, needs no payment card, and is not a time-limited trial. It includes outperformer discovery and an allowance of tracked channels, so you can find breakout videos without ever paying. If it covers what you need, you can stay on it.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time from this page, and the upgrade applies immediately rather than at your next renewal, so you do not have to wait out a period you have already paid for.

What happens if I cancel?

Your subscription stops renewing and stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep the paid features until that date. After it lapses the account carries on as a free one rather than being closed.

Do longer billing periods cost less?

Yes. Quarterly, six-month and yearly billing are cheaper per month than paying monthly. The exact saving is shown on each plan card when you switch billing period at the top of this page, because it is calculated from the live prices.

Which currency are the prices in?

US dollars. The amount you see on the plan card is the amount charged for that billing period.

Do you offer refunds?

Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, and there are no credits for partially used periods. Because cancelling leaves your access running to the end of the period you paid for, cancelling is normally the right move rather than asking for a refund. If you think you were charged in error, contact us.

Who handles the payment?

Checkout and recurring billing are handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not store full payment card details on our servers - see the privacy policy for what is collected and by whom.

Do I need to connect my YouTube channel to subscribe?

No. YTinspector works entirely from public YouTube data on every plan, so you never have to grant access to your own channel - including channels you do not own and have nothing to do with.
